Revised 03.31.08 (moved text and scattered and added more shapes) Revised again 04.01.08 (made it slightly LESS scattered than first revision)  Created my own shapes to replicate Pinoy (Philippine) ethnic patterns. XD La lang! I'm so happy about this because I've been wanting to make an artwork of sorts with Philippine ethnic patterns since...FOREVER. Haha. Well, not really FOREVER, but yeah. Haha. Made experimental marketing material for Yabang Pinoy [link] , a campaign that raises Filipino pride and nationalism through the use of Yabang Pinoy abaca bands. Yabang Pinoy = Proud Filipino Text reads: "magkaisa.", meaning BE ONE. Or UNITE. then, "may yabang ka na ba?", is asking the viewer if he or she has pride yet, or if he or she has a Yabang Pinoy band yet. Somehow it loses it value if translated into English. Haha. (Not that I'm saying the concept is strong.) --- Already revised, but may still be revised. Haha. Constant revision. Comments would be great.  |

well, it was every bit worth it.
this is pretty good work, jen. pretty good work indeed.
I get discouraged doing projects like this at some point (ones with "staggering amounts of detail"), but after the first couple of hurdles and wonderful cheerdance numbers by a big-bellied man with crazy hair, I get enough determination to complete it in spite of...the...uh, fine...laziness.
